‘The Mandalorian’: Bill Burr Returning For Second Season Of ‘Star Wars’ Series

Bill Burr The Mandalorian

Bill Burr The MandalorianBill Burr returns to The Mandalorian‘s second season as Imperial sharpshooter Mayfeld after appearing in episode six of the Disney Plus series.

Comedian Bill Burr will reprise his role as Mayfeld in The Mandalorian season two after his appearance in the sixth episode quickly won over fans thanks to his comedic nature. Bill Burr’s character took shots at common jokes within the Star Wars fandom, with references from Jar Jar Binks to the poor aim of Stormtroopers. Although Mayfeld only appeared in the sixth episode, Pedro Pascal’s bounty hunter left him locked him in a cell on a prison ship, meaning there’s plenty of ways the character can return in the second season.

Deadline announced that Bill Burr will return to the series at the same time as confirming that Terminator star Michael Biehn is coming aboard for season two. It’s not clear how big the comedian’s role will be, but he’ll most likely just reprise the character for an episode to get revenge on the now iconic bounty hunter. The second season has finished filming and fans will be able to stream it on Disney Plus in December.
