BTS To Speak And Perform In YouTube Virtual Graduation Ceremony, Joining Lineup Including The Obamas, Lady Gaga, And More

BTS will be helping the Class of 2020 celebrate their graduation while staying at home!

On May 5, YouTube shared that it will be hosting a virtual graduation ceremony titled “Dear Class of 2020.” Commencement speeches will be delivered by former President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, BTS, Lady Gaga, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and activist Malala Yousafzai.

Variety describes the event as being carried out festival-style, with a mix of performances and talks that address traditional graduation-day themes. BTS and others will be performing at a virtual after-party.

In addition, there will also be special appearances by Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, and YouTubers Jackie Aina, AsapSCIENCE, Dude Perfect, Mr. Kate, and The Try Guys.

The event premieres on the YouTube Originals channel and YouTube’s Learn@Home site on Saturday, June 6 at 12 p.m. PST.
